Question: Why is my photo upside down?
Answer: Most of our customers prefer to have their photo hang upside down so that it can be more easily viewed by the person wearing the necklace. If you would like your photo to hang upside down, simply upload it normally with the top of the photo near the “Bottom of piece” label. However, if you would prefer to have your photo hang right side up, you can rotate the photo so that the top is near the “Top (Bale)” label.
Question: Do you offer pieces made with real gold and diamonds?
Answer: Our normal pieces are made with gold plating and CZs, but we are happy to make custom pieces with other materials such as solid gold and/or real diamonds! For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Question: I’m having trouble seeing my photo. Any tips on how to view it?
Answer: First, look into the center gem on the front of the piece. Like when looking through a microscope, you will want to hold the piece as close to your eye as possible (roughly an inch away form your eye). It's also important to make sure enough light is getting through the white diffuser on the back. While holding the front of the piece to your eye, point the back of the piece toward a light source, and make sure your fingers are not covering the white diffuser so that the light can get through properly. You can also view the photo by holding your phone’s camera up against the center gem. Provided there’s enough light getting through the diffuser on the back, your photo should be visible on your phone’s screen.
Question: How do I project my photo onto a surface?
Answer: Projection can be a little tricky at first, but it’s not too difficult once you get the hang of it. Here are some tips that may help! First, as with any projection, make sure that you’re in a suitably dark environment. Once there, put a small flashlight (your phone’s flashlight should be fine) flat and centered against the white diffuser on the back of the pendant. You will also want to make sure that your fingers aren’t blocking the light. After that, it’s just a matter of finding the right distance. We recommend starting within a few inches of the surface on which you would like to project and slowly backing away until the image comes into focus.
Question: Where is this company located?
Answer: We are located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, where all our jewelry is assembled, packaged, and shipped.
Question: Are these pieces waterproof?
Answer: We have tested our pieces in water without issue, but we still recommend avoiding water when possible just to be safe. It should also be noted that moisture will cause gold plated pieces to tarnish more quickly, and chlorine will react negatively with silver.
Question: How long does you take to deliver?
Answer: Our jewelry usually takes 1-3 business days to make, plus another 1-3 business days to manufacture, though there are often delays in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Question: Any tips for which photo I should choose?
Answer: Most photos work well. Even old photos and low-resolution photos tend to come out quite nicely. That said, it is usually best to avoid photos with any small details if possible. This can include photos with fine print, photos of large groups, photos taken from a distance, and collages that include several different photos. These kinds of photos mostly end up okay, but the best, clearest photos tend to be well-lit, close-up shots with relatively high contrast that include only 1-3 people. Question: In which pendant are photos largest and/or easiest to view?
Answer: All of our pendants use the same size GemPic, so your photo will be the same size and of the same clarity regardless of which pendant you purchase. That said, it is important to keep your fingers out of the way when viewing your photo, and doing so is slightly easier with our larger pendants.
Question: Will you ship overseas?
Answer: In addition to the United States, we currently ship to Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Keep in mind that addresses outside of the United States may be charged import fees when the package arrives in your country. If you live outside of the aforementioned countries, let us know at email@example.com as we can do custom orders for some parts of Europe, Asia, and Central and South America.
